Custom powder coating is a simple, but effective, process. Fine, dry plastic powder is sprayed onto a clean metal surface. As it leaves the spray gun, the powder is charged with static electricity to help it adhere to a piece. The piece is then baked at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While in the oven, the powder paint melts and flows into a beautiful, durable finish.

As primers are not used in the process, powder coating is an environmentally friendly procedure.
